We're excited to launch Create Your Why DIY, a groundbreaking online career tool designed to help individuals just like you create their own career paths and destinies. We understand that everyone's journey is unique, which is why we have developed a tool that allows you to self-administer the Career Construction Interview (CCI, Savickas, 2005).
Transformational
It will provide your clients with the most powerful and transformational intervention they will ever experience.
Supported by Research
It is evidence-based, having received significant support from numerous research articles in top journals.
A Hidden Gem
It is unknown to 99% of career practitioners, which means you can use it to stand out from the crowd.
Traditional approaches to career guidance and development, while necessary, are not sufficient to deal with the complex work and life issues your clients now face.
You need an intervention that can solve challenges and transitions that are ambiguous, unfamiliar, and complex. Life Designing addresses complex challenges by utilizing narrative psychology and storytelling techniques to help clients gain Clarity, Control, Direction, Confidence, and Purpose.
There are few, if any, quality training resources available to help Career Practitioners learn Life Designing and Career Construction.
We have designed a 20-hour self-paced elearning course to help you learn the theory and practice of Life Designing & Career Construction. A live recorded Career Construction Interview shows you how to move from theory to practice with a real client. Multimedia exercises keep you engaged.
Life Designing and the Career Construction Interview are complex. There exist few, if any, opportunities for practitioners to practice the CCI questions.
Our Advanced Career Construction Masterclass (CCMA) offers you the opportunity to practice the Career Construction Interview and receive immediate feedback. The CCMA provides you with approx. 19 hours of practicum where you will receive live supervision and feedback from Dr. Kevin Glavin.
Live supervised practicum courses are rare and participants don't have much time to practice due to large class sizes.
Yes, live supervised practicum courses are rare. However, we do provide such training opportunities and have been doing so for several years. We keep class sizes small, approx. 6-12 students for a practicum course that lasts 3 days.
There are no resources to help Career Practitioners take case notes and write professional reports.
Use our Career Construction Interview software and note taking template to record detailed notes and create professional client reports.
There's no one to help me post-training. When courses like these end there's no support when I get stuck or make mistakes.
We have created and are committed to developing a support network to help you post-training. You will gain access to a community of Career Practitioners who have completed the same coursework. Plus, we are pretty friendly, so just drop us an email, kevin@createyourwhy.com.

Some of life's challenges are complex, unfamiliar, & ambiguous. There may not be one right answer. Complex challenges require complex interventions. When we cannot change a situation, the next best option is to change our perspective, i.e., how we view the situation.
I am a successful professional in a competitive industry. My partner has been offered an incredible job opportunity in a remote location where there are no opportunities in my field. I support my partner, but I'm unsure how to balance my own professional ambitions with the needs of my family.
I feel lost in transition. I am a musician who has recently experienced significant hearing loss. My ability to perform and create music is severely impacted. I'm unsure of how to navigate this life change and find a fulfilling career that still allows me to contribute to the world of music.
I’ve worked with several career coaches & completed numerous career assessments, such as the Strong Interest Inventory, Myers-Briggs, Strengths Finder, and Values Card Sorts, but I remain uncertain about my ideal career path. I just want to do something I enjoy & find meaningful.
I have been offered a dream job overseas, but it means leaving my elderly parents, who require my support and care. I'm torn between pursuing my career goals and fulfilling my responsibilities as a caregiver. If I don’t take this opportunity now it may never come around again.
I feel seriously stressed out. I am 17 years old and am being told I must hurry up and make plans to go to university. I don’t even know what I want to do. In fact, I don’t even know if I want to go to university. But, if I don’t go, then what? I feel overwhelmed having to make such big decisions right now.
I feel lonely and disconnected at work. As someone with autism, I find it challenging to establish connections with my colleagues. Social situations can be quite overwhelming, and I often feel left out of the conversation. People tend to avoid me no matter how hard I try to fit in. It’s like this every place I go.

Thank you!!! Thank you!!! At first glance the evaluations looked incredible. People’s feedback on you, the presentation and the Life Designing model and Career Construction Interview were outstanding.
